I work with families in-person in Berlin, as well as virtually around the world. I emphasize a collaborative approach, we'll work together to tailor an individualized plan for you and your child.
In-person or Online Observations, Assessments, and Treatment Sessions.
Sessions could include...
-Establishing emotional regulation strategies
-Enhancing self-awareness and control through motor planning
-Building social skills through play-based activities
To offer additional support and guidance as we work together in therapy sessions. There’s so much that happens in daily life that doesn’t pop up in a treatment session. Let’s set up a time to touch base on progress, challenges, and problem-solve together.
Looking for a place to start? Would you like to speak about your observations, and if you should seek additional support? Indicate “Discovery Call” in the contact form below, and let’s set up a chat!
I have an Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) from Washington University in St. Louis in 2022, and a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Neuroscience and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame in 2019.
I am registered with the National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), and an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
No. I am an Occupational Therapist not an Ergo-therapist. I am not registered with the Deutscher Verband Ergotherapie association, and therefore the German public insurances cannot cover my services.
It depends. I am trained as an occupational therapist in the United States, but in Germany, I am registered as a “Familienberaterin.”
Therefore, my invoices cannot say “ergo therapy,” however, we can adapt to meet your insurance needs, e.g. occupational therapy consultation, executive functioning coach, motor and sensory specialist services. Please check with your own insurance for any requirements they may have.
If you have an International private medical insurance package they are typically more familiar with Occupational Therapy but again you need to check with your own insurance company to be sure of what requirements they might have.
Hi, I’m Madeleine! I’m an occupational therapist from the United States.
Since moving to Berlin in January 2023, I began to work as a pediatric occupational therapist with Engish-speaking families. I work with students in their homes, schools, as well as in virtual settings. I’ve worked with children ages 3-15, and with diagnoses such as:
ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and Dysgraphia, sensory processing differences, and challenges with emotional regulation.
Many of the children I work with do not have a diagnosis, and this is completely okay! With or without a label, I work together with the families to identify their child’s strengths and challenges, and gear treatment sessions to maximize function in daily situations.
In my free time, I love to run, play the cello, and go on adventures with my dog, Finnigan.
